Is Your Dog Short Of Calcium?

My dog hasn't been straight enough recently. Is it short of calcium? How to determine whether a dog is short of calcium? This is a very prudent question. How to make sure that dogs are short of calcium?

The reason for the lack of calcium in dogs
1.the calcium content in the dog's food is enough, but sometimes the dog's gastrointestinal absorption ability is poor, such as spleen and stomach incompatibility, enteritis and poor appetite, which can cause the dog to absorb poor calcium.
Most of the reasons for the incompatibility of the spleen and stomach, most of the feeding amount is too large, the gastrointestinal tract to support the bad, its symptoms are bad breath, soft stool, diarrhea, bad when the appetite is bad, and so on. The correct way to feed a dog daily is another article.
2.feeding dog liver for a long time will cause excessive vitamin A and affect the absorption of vitamin D so calcium cannot be absorbed. Vitamin A and vitamin D3 added to dog food must also follow strict proportionate balance.
3.calcium and phosphorus in dog food are not balanced, or vitamin is not added to dog food. This is the most common problem in low-end dog food. Some friends use more than 2 kinds of dog food. They think that this can complement each other's nutrients, but it is useless. In fact, the symptoms of calcium deficiency in dogs are a weakness of muscles, poor strength of limbs, cartilage, O leg and so on.

The harm of calcium deficiency
If the calcareous supplement is insufficient in the puppies, the ribbed valgus can occur, the wrist joints and elbow joints of the forelimbs are deformed, and the small dogs are prone to "O" shaped legs; large and medium-sized dogs can cause severe deformation of the forelimbs, and the angle of the hoof and the ground becomes larger. If found untimely, treatment is not allowed. It may also cause permanent "paw", "lie on the hoof" or limp.

In addition, 2-3 months of age is an important period for the formation of the intervertebral disc of the puppies. If there is calcium deficiency at this time, some varieties of intervertebral disc diseases will occur in adulthood, causing life-long pain. When the puppy is 4-6 months old, the absence of calcium will cause the deciduous teeth not to fall off, the growth of the permanent teeth is slow, the enamel layer is thin, the structure is not firm, and the uneven teeth of the double row or the permanent teeth are easy to appear. These dogs are susceptible to bad breath and gingivitis after adulthood.
